Bretforton Amateur Dramatics Presents Patrick Hamilton's classic thriller, Gaslight® - a gripping tale of secrets and deception. Set in Victorian London, the play follows Bella Manningham, whose sanity is shaken as her husband, Jack, manipulates her perception of the truth. With each dimming of the gaslights, the tension mounts in a chilling exploration of the darkness that hides behind closed doors. A timeless psychological drama, this production promises an evening of intrigue, mystery and edge-of-your-seat suspense.
Leonard Eto, one of the world's most accomplished and innovative contemporary Taiko players and ex Artistic Director of Kodo drummers, returns to the UK. This time he brings his internationally award-winning collaboration with classically trained ballerina lori Tadokoro in their performance fusing the power and sensitivity of Taiko with the grace and elegance of dance. As well as a path trodden by animals in the wild, “Kemono Michi” means to choose a different way of life…let the sound of the Japanese drums lead you on this journey. Bretforton Silver Band returns to Theatrebarn, Bretforton, with an evening of Christmas music for all ages. The programme includes much-loved carols, festive classics, and seasonal favourites, with performances from our talented soloists. In the second half, the audience is invited to join in a lively sing-a-long — an uplifting way to share the music of Christmas together.
We’re tucked away at the end of the private drive to Bretforton Grange, just off Main Street (the B4035) as you enter Bretforton from the Evesham direction. Look for the corner of Main Street and Coldicotts Lane, and if your sat-nav is having trouble, Google Maps will guide you right to our door! We recommend using this link, clicking ‘directions’ and entering your starting point: Theatrebarn - Google Maps
Alternatively, our what three words address is: ///twisty.punctual.comet
Just a heads up: the driveway is unlit, but if you follow it to the end, you’ll spot the Theatrebarn gates. Turn slightly right, and you’ll find parking and the Main Entrance.
Absolutely! We have some parking spots around the site, but they can fill up quickly, especially with a full house. If you can share transport with friends or come by other means, we’d really appreciate it – that way, we can save the spaces for those who need them the most.
There is a bar just to the right as you enter the building stocked with wine, beer, spirits and a variety of soft drinks.
We’ve got a selection of snacks like crisps and nuts at the bar to curb hunger pains, but if you’re after something more substantial, we highly recommend the world-renowned Fleece Inn just around the corner in the village– it’s one of our favourites!
The bar opens an hour before the show starts, so feel free to come early, grab a drink, and have a natter. We'd love to see you and say hello!
You sure can! Feel free to bring your drink into the auditorium once the show begins, but we kindly ask that you transfer it into one of our plastic cups to keep things safe and spill-free.
Sadly not. We’re still working on improving accessibility at Theatrebarn, but we’d love to help make your visit as smooth as possible. If you have specific requirements, please reach out to us ahead of time, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. However, there are quite a few steps all around the building.
Only if it is ok that if they have had a bad day, they can take it out on you! In all seriousness, we do not tolerate rudeness, impoliteness or raised voices and neither should you. If you have any issues or concerns, please ask to see someone who might be able to help you.
